Hormonal evaluation

Labs timed to your cycle, so we see your hormones as they truly are.

Your chart tells us when to test

Charting your cycle is what we call the fifth vital sign. It helps us identify your cervical mucus quality, your fertile window, and your peak day, and it tells us exactly when to draw labs for a complete hormone profile.

The same chart helps us time imaging studies and treatments, so every step is matched to what your body is doing.

How it works

Chart, test, and understand

1

Chart your cycle

You need to be able to confidently identify your peak day to begin a hormone series. We will help you learn to chart, and we will review your chart with you.

2

Draw timed labs

A complete hormone profile may take one to several days of lab work, depending on your particular care. Labs can be drawn in our office or at another lab location that is convenient for you.

3

Understand your hormones

The profile gives us a look at your ovarian function and the quality of your ovulations. We review it with you in plain language and use it to plan your next steps.

Other labs

Getting to root causes

Depending on your history, your evaluation may also include:

Full thyroid panel
Insulin resistance testing
Micronutrient testing
Immune system evaluation
Microbiome testing
Antibody testing for recurrent miscarriage and subfertility

For men, too

Fertility is a shared story. We also offer basic hormone panels for men, along with semen analysis, and treatment as needed.

Why we time labs to your cycle

Hormone levels change through your cycle, so a single blood draw on a random day can miss the picture. By timing labs to your chart, we see your ovarian function and ovulation quality as they actually are, and we can find what is behind your symptoms.
